Originally #307 of Union RR. Built by Baldwin, 1937, C/N 62060. .

Union RR. was a United States Steel company RR. operating in the Pittsburgh area. When Union Dieselized the ten 0-10-2's were transferred to the D.M.& I.R. where they were renumbered in the 600 series. Number 307 was renumbered #607, Class S-7 by D.M.& I.R., 1949. Although built with boosters on the front tender truck, they were all later removed. # 603 was returned to the Union RR. for display in 1961.
